Operation Extend

So, Super Robot Wars Operation Extend became impossible to legally obtain a few years back, and while I had the game on my PSP, circumstances ended up with me no longer having the data. Having recently downloaded the ISO online, I was reminded that the base ISO by itself does nothing. There were other files necessary to run the game, and of course the DLC required to unlock the full game as well. If anyone could toss me a PM or something (since I figure it's probably against the rules to directly talk about this kind of thing in public), that'd be great.

I would like them to re-release an offline version of OE.
This is the problem with DLC only games.

DLC is on Nyaa

Good idea to decide you're team before you play, in order to avoid grinding the final battle is just 12 units.

1- Gurren Laggan (Forced deploy for the final stage, so use him)
2- OG Unit (Forced deploy for the final stage, so use him)
3- Liger Zero (Forced deployed on many maps and during Chapter 8)
4- Gundam or Gundam Alex (Forced deploy on may OYW Mission)
5- Gundam Wing or Gundam 00 Raiser (For the Gundam Fight Stage)
6- Shirou (Use him as you're EN Unit, until forced Chapter 5 forced deploy stage) / Chirco (After you're done with Shirou, Use Chirco as you're EN Unit)

After that just select 6 more units, during Chapter 7 and 8 money is no longer an issue.

If you think you can get through the game only using 6 units, you’re in for a rude awakening, and if you think you can get through the game without using Chriico then you’re in for it.

Chirco is on that list, as you're EN Unit he can level up pretty quickly.

You can only bring 12 units into the final stage.
Use those 6 + 6 other random units of you're choice, and as you can beat the game, with zero grinding.

If that is honestly what you think, you’re going to be in for a rude awakening when the final stage lets you field none of those.

You need at least 36 units ready, of which two must be GL and Exert (they’re both really good though so no worries) as well as the awful White Base and Turner and the really good Macross Quarter because the last stage is a three parter, one of like twenty fiveish.

You can't even delpoy White Base and Turner, on the final stage.

For the Red Mission you can just go do a mission you haven't cleared or quit the mission and reset.
Making the 36 units to just 12.

Non-Plot stages are optional and for a non-grinding run, you can skip most of them.

In OE you can skip stages.
However, if you do so you can't start the next chapter until you have cleared a certain number of missions.
So you're going to have to do the skip chapters before you start the final Chapter.
Therefore you are not wasting time doing missions you have not cleared.

And it doesn't take long to start the mission and then exit the mission. "2 mins" losing time, in order to beat the Map in like 2 Turn is better than not exiting the mission and taking 5 Turns.

Thanks for the advice, guys. We'll see how it all works out.

As for me, I tend to grind obsessively, so hardly any worries there.
