Super Robot Taisen stream Nov. 19
#1
New stream's coming up Nov. 19, it's going to be double the length of a usual stream (2 hours versus 1 hour) and doesn't have a X-Omega hashtag attached to the announcement tweet. Further details listed here: https://gematsu.com/2018/11/super-robot-...ovember-19

Obligatory "Exo-Squad confirmed" post

So, whaddya all think, another recycle heavy stand alone or what? I figure we may be due for something or other on Switch by now.

Mass majority of SRW games recycle content from the previous game(s) to save on costs unless they move on to new systems which still do it to a degree so I don't understand why people make think otherwise when its always been a thing... These games aren't getting any cheaper especially since licensing these anime franchises is expensive. Even the OG games recycle a lot of content.

This is usually the time of year they announce a new SRW game, and it will likely come out in February if the last 2 years have been any indication. I still kind of doubt the Switch due to its not so good sales of really niche games... Not even G Gen Genesis seemed to catch much attention on the Switch. It could be a possibility, although I doubt it will be a multiplatform release across different systems since that is pretty expensive to do given the Switch is a very different machine to program compared to the PS4 (Vita is on its way out so it is also less likely for a Vita version either).

I'd rather have the classics, really.
Gimme back Voltes V, Godsigma, Goshogun, G Gundam, Dangaioh, Gaiking and stuffs.

Yuck, please no G-reco or Buddy Complex... the less of those the better, G-reco for obvious reasons and Buddy Complex for its mediocrity with both the story and the units...

I'd like to think G-reco will be like Gundam Age which only got 1 SRW game. Its awful setting doesn't help it either.

I'd say Mazinger Infinity could be up for SRW sometime too, likely the next game given the movie came out within the last year.

IBO S1 has finished its run about 2.5 years ago so its ripe for SRW.

Majestic Prince could also work quite well with Valvrave.

Sadly no F-91 given that Seabook/Kincaid's VA just passed away about 2 weeks ago... Probably not even Crossbone either since Kincaid plays a large role there unless its the actual Steel 7 setting and not just the Full Cloth unit.

This is a Prediction List not a Wish List.

Out of all the Z3.2 debuts only Phantom Arc, Alone Again, Diebuster, Gargantia was not in V
Out of all the V debuts only Yamato, Skull Heart and Hathaway’s Flash were not in X.

So looking at the X debuts
G-Reco
Wataru
Nadia
Buddy Complex

Makes sense we will get G-Reco and Buddy Complex.
Nadia was a battleship and X was Wataru the game.

I would like a Full Plot of AGE in SRW.

I don't think they are done with Shin Mazinger just yet and the X assets are sitting right there.
Would like to have Infinity.

As for IBO it was on TV are the same time as Build Fighters (that was a great year of Gundam)
Build Fighters is in X-Omega and yet IBO isn't.
If they were going to use IBO then would have put in in X-Omega

Just because a show works well with another doesn't mean it will be in.

Pretty sure this game was well into production when the VA passed away, so It shouldn't be an issue.

As for the Future of Kincaid the Crossbone anime maybe? might come out one day and the character of Kincaid will be fine.

Given Age's massive failure it is unlikely to come to SRW again anytime soon.

I don't even understand how any of the Build Fighters would even work in SRW. Its a shonen battle show where everything is a simulation not actual piloting/fighting.... X-omega is event based game, not a actual full SRW game. Its like saying just because Godzilla or Megaman were in X-omega mean they could be in a traditional SRW game... it doesn't work like that.

I think it ain't gonna be easy or short to fully replace Seabook/Kincaid's VA. It took a LONG time to replace Bright's VA. There are a number of other Gundam characters whose VAs have yet to be replaced either... Puru's VA has yet to be replaced either..

True, I really doubt AGE will come back.

OE was able to turn a Gunpla, life-sized.
Heroman is about a Toy that became life-sized.
X-Omega used Spiral Power to make the toys life-sized.
Build Fighters won't be a problem.

X-Omega is just a spin-off game.

Every Series (except for Macross Zero and Armored Core) has debuted in a spin-off game has come to a traditional SRW game.
Don't see why any of X-Omega debuts won't appear in a traditional SRW game.

True it will take a while (like 10 years) to replace Seabook/Kincaid's VA, but it will happen.

I wouldn't exactly use OE as a regular SRW game either... its not too different from X-omega especially since its a DLC based game not regular SRW game. X-Omega is a spin-off game which is why it works for certain shows that otherwise do not fit in a plot and setting focused SRW.

Oh yeah... I'd like to see other Brave shows in SRW. Dagwon would be nice.

Hopefully no web novel Isekai trash like Knights and Magic either...
