SRW Comprehensive Running Commentary
(03-23-2018, 07:43 AM)Mai Wrote: well its probably because most of us just lurked reading his posts, i enjoy reading game blogs of SRW players a lot its pretty fun.

i enjoyed reading Mjermazian ones as well, his challenge runs where awesome, i don't really remember his nickname i think he had a blog about S/Rpgs

And i miss your blog too hon, you haven't done anything since the Masoukishin games, i could feel the joy while reading them.

I didn't know about MJE, this is the first i heard about it, Daba suffers something similar iirc.
Wish them a quick recovery.

I sense that a number of us are just getting old, quite frankly. I mean, I was in my 20s when I first became a fan of this franchise, and now I'm pushing 40 (with a grandchild, no less). The older you get, the less time there is for ... damn near everything.

In any case, I have nothing but the best wishes for Kern, Mjem, and the whole lot.

Well, i had fun reading them, i wish BB started translating games back when they released the Masoukishin games, there is a lot of details and hints (some of them lead to nothing but they are interesting nonetheless) in the branches, i mean a lot.

And look who resurfaced, i asked about you the other day, remembered your avatar, couldn't remember your nickname, even thought that you didn't make it after the move to the new server.

I honestly have not forgotten about this; my big red 3DS is on my TV table and I see it every day. I'll try to get back into UX before too long...

Spoiler Show
He's been there all throughout the game.  Artiel Steinbeck is a character who debuted in Super Hero Operation, and you eventually find out he's actually lying about his name - his real name, in the debut for that character, was Euzeth Gozzo.

Euzeth's actually a kind of tragic figure.  Basically in his debut he wanted power for relatively altruistic reasons, specifically wanting to be an Ultraman.  Eventually he got that power, but by that point he was corrupted, etc. etc. you've all heard the story before, he took an HTB Cannon to the face (also the debut of that) and died.

Then he came back in Alpha 1.  Here it turns out he has memories of past lives, that thing SRW calls "Void Memories", and again did horrible, horrible things to get power.  And THIS TIME, he'd not make the same mistakes as before, so he'll win!  Except, uh, in general, he does - Ingram gets free and helps, he eats an HTB Cannon, and he dies.

And this shit keeps happening, but each time he gets smarter.  So in OG, he has fragments of his memories, but he knows he has to take Ingram out (if he doesn't, you get OG Divine Wars).  So he does, using your group in OG1, staying well out of the way on Earth while that happens.  When he's ready to make his power play, he's already set everything up - the White Star he stole, he got your guys to get rid of Perfectio, he has AI-1, he's gotten rid of the Huckebeins, he has Irui, and most importantly, he's set everything he needs to be as strong as possible so when he finally takes his power, he wins!  And on top of that, he let your guys have Ing, and got your guys to make Ing as strong as possible as well as giving him a flatly fucking broken robot (The EX Exbein, OG's version of the Huckebein EX he would have remembered from Alpha 1 and containing literally everything important across all OG Huckebeins).  He wins!

What can possibly stop him?  He may not have all his memories, but he has so much power, nothing can possibly stop him!

Except, just as he hits his peak in power, his memories finally come to him, and he realizes his mistakes.  That letting your team have Irui meant she'd form bonds with your team, and would hate him even more.  That letting you strengthen Ing would also strengthen Ing's desire to help you, and stop him.  That both of those beings were conscious inside him.  That AI-1 ate Duvan Org and his machine, which as it turns out was starting to brush through sentience into the bounds of sapience on its own, and that they would also want out.  And that he didn't get rid of the SRX, and it has an HTB Cannon.

And so Euzeth falls for the exact same trap he falls for every time because he can't ever remember enough to stop himself, but every time he reforms his memories push him towards that direction.  Every single time.

Also yay UX time!  UX is really good fun, I hope you'll like it.  Incidentally, which secrets are you going for in your first run?

Damn that's interesting - even though I haven't played OG2nd.

thanks for the kind words guys. my hands are still recovering and I think I'll be able to resume some light gaming next year. the other problem is I just don't have that much time anymore.

there are still some older SRW set I'd like to play, but the new ones don't interest me. I lost my YouTube account and I'm not sure if I'll be re-uploading the videos, but the guides are still up on gamefaqs.

lol, looks like it's half true in my case. I wonder if 3.2 will be any good.
