Know any Banpresto Original combining mecha, outside of just the SRX?
#1
Right now, there are too many Super Robot Wars games for me to look up which Banpresto Original mecha are combining mecha, and which ones aren't.  I also tried TV Tropes, from the Combining Mecha page to the Related page for combining mecha, and even then it would take me much longer than necessary to do so.

So does anyone know, off the top of their heads, any Banpresto Original combining mecha outside of just the R-series units and their combined SRX form?

The Valguard from SRT W. It is a combination from the Valhawk and Valstork.

There's also the Valzacard from SRT W.

I'm surprised there aren't as much combining mecha for Banpresto originals. I didn't even reflect on that.

The Originals from whatever game Rex, the greatest protagonist ever is from, can combine with either of the 2 heroines.

As well as Josh and Rims super from SRWD.

Granteed also counts as well.

And last bUT not least, Grungust type 3 and also Dygengaur and Tromb even if it's just 2 guys riding each other.

In a sense, Ryukouoh/Kouryuoh and Shin Ryukouoh/Kouryuoh from Alpha(though the combining was plot related and irreversible).
Solvrias Rex/Regina from K.
Glitter Falsaber from BX.
Odyssea from UX.
Super Earthgain and Swemurg S from 64 (and i am not so sure about the first; i faintly remember that you either kill or befriend your rival, and i can't even remember if it is " you kill your rival, your mech get powered up ", " you befriend your rival, you combine " or " you befriend you rival, you don't get powered up but he joins in his mech and there is a combination attack ")
These are the ones i remember.

P.S. Ah right, there was Forte Gigas (the D one), present in OG2nd as a secret and MD normally, as a possible unit for the D crew. Also you got Super Earthgain by killing your rival (the third hypotesis above was correct too).

What does MD mean in this context?

Ibis and Sley's units combine in Alpha 2 and later OG games. MD = Moon Dwellers

There’s also the original version of Compatible Kaiser, which was a 4 man 4 component machine. The new one ditches that but can combine with G-Thundergate.

Rushbird and Straybird from L have a Wing Cross-ish combination which was unfortunately attack only in L but could be a whole mode when it reaches OG.

All three of the main J mechs sort of are. Granteed combines with... whatever that dragon’s name was to become Dracodeus, Bellzelute combines with a support unit to become Brigandi (similar to the D Reals, how Blanche Neige and Aile Chevalier become Dea Blanche Neige and Geant Chevalier), and Coustwell combines in a I-can’t-believe-this-predates-Shin-Mazinger way with a giant fist to become the Brachium.

Soul Saber was the combination of the Head Saber and two parts (two F parts for upper and lower body, and two G parts for the same thing - OG removed the mix and match capabilities) and further combines with the Saber Booster to become Super Soul Saber. The Head Saber and Saber Booster can also combine into an obvious name.

Exert from OE maybe counts. While it doesn’t technically combine with anything, some of its attacks become available after a giant alien space bug starts living inside of it.

Super Earthgain and Swemurg S from 64

RKO and KRO are combiners in that Ryuohki and Kouohki can decombine and recombine essentially at will, same with Jakubuoh and Bujakuoh and their components.

Simurgh Splendid definitely counts, and Super Earthgian should count - while it’s a combination you can’t deactivate, it was two mechs combined into one.
