It's mobile, and it REALLY looked like FGO ripoff. What are you doing, SEGA?

Ripping of FGO it seems, when I first heard about it I had hope for the miniscule chance that it could be a proper RPG ... why do I do this to myself?
Also is it just me or does the Left Heroes / Right Enemies thing somehow feel awkward?

Nah, you're just used to fgo.

Here I come, King of Mobage! Do you have enough limited servants in stock?

@srw785 ... take you damn thumbs up for that last bit Undecided
And yeah I'm gonna get it since I'm a sucker for anything Phantasy Star related but I have low expectations.

The artwork is also way too different compared to the original Phantasy Star, or even PSO.
There goes my hope for any normal Phantasy Star game, though. :/

Or X Omega, or Valkyrie Profile, etc. A lot of them have players on the right side. And that's just for mobile games. Sideview console JRPGs from SNES were players on right side too for instance.

the problem of this game on my opinion its not the similarity with FGO or it being a mobage, for me the major problem is them admitting that the game is like FGO, the thing wrong with this is... FGO system is not exactly good, FGO is just there because it have Fate / series characters on it, if you take the Fate characters out for some generic ones no one would play the thing

when you take a close look at the trailer you will notice that its not, this game has a turn based battle system, with elemental affinities and stuff like that, the battle system reminds me of a slower Granblue Fantasy(that's a great mobage just don't get too invested into it)

the designs are not bad i do like them, its just that I'm not really a fan of Phantasy Star but shouldn't they be more futuristic looking?

also i think that Sega should think about doing a proper Phantasy Star game it don't need to be a triple A production a dungeon crawler would do fine, but they should try to revive the series somehow first.

well good luck for them, they will need it

Well, the good thing is, it's back to turn based combat after it was lost since Phantasy Star 4.

But I feel iffy that their "30th Anniversary of Phantasy Star" is an FGO ripoff. :/

@Mai: The Phantasy Star Online setting is futuristic, but the classic Phantasy Star games was more like contemporary future, with normal medieval weapons, wizards, and robots around. Rune Walsh still the best character in the entire series to me. Big Grin

That said, SEGA won't give me Phantasy Star Nova in English. Sad
