Devil May Cry 5

Is it the same singer who did the Devil Trigger song for Nero, also the song from the 1st PV/reveal of DmC 5?

EDIT: Nevermind, it was a different band/group that did the Dante song that got in trouble. Devil Trigger song was done by someone else, and is quite popular too.

At first I was wondering if they really were cowing to negative feedback on the actual song, but...yeah, fuck those guys, then.

Aye. It's just a hilarious coincidence that the song was utter garbage. The audio levels were all over the place, and aside from being aweful, the vocals were too loud compared to the rest of the audio.

It was basically forcing itself to try and sound as entirely different from Nero's song.

Gameplay with sparda. Dante's HUD also shows the styles are back.

I figured it would be a matter of time before Capcom's ugly side kicked back in again with microtransactions in DmC 5. Its a little less annoying in that it's a alternative way to upgrade your characters if you don't want to use orbs compared.

They gave that formula a bit of a test run in DMC4 Special Edition, although I suppose the difference there is since they were tacked on to an existing game, it's more obviously just Pay 2 Gameshark. With a new game, we just have to hope things are not skewed in a way to twist your arm into thinking paying is a good idea.

If this keeps the Capcom suits happy that there's SOME kind of microtransaction present without breaking the formula, then I suppose it's the least of any possible evils.

Was it really in DmC 4 SE? I own the game and have played some of it but I don't see any microtransactions at all? Unless you mean the DLC with game with it with the Demon pack bonus?

Yep, on all platforms.

Very missable if you didn't check the digital store, so I suppose it remains to be seen if 5 will make any attempt to more obviously shove it under everyone's noses.

No wonder I didn't notice it... I bought the bundle pack of DmC 4 SE with the game itself. All for $8.50 a few months ago... damn good price, lol.

It's not really a big deal. It's a 99.9% single player game. If people are dumb or lazy enough to buy the upgrades with real money then that's on them. The only thing i tmight possibly affect would be the 2-3 player online mode but that's most likely just something lame like Bloody Palace.
