Not confirmed but it's flat out called the "Next animation project" so chances are high it's something ANIMATED to be specific. We also know what the original writers, mechanicle designers, and most of the 00 staff are back onboard for a project.
As said in the starting post, this is entirely different form the announcement of the 00 Stage play. That was announced several hours before this so people are getting confused thinking it's the same thing.
