I'm going to be somewhat cautious of this news, while yes its good Megaman is getting a proper game again, Capcom hasn't made a Megaman game in a very long time, and Capcom's track record has not been good in the past couple of years either outside of Monster Hunter and Resident Evil 7.

I'm actually happy they are making a new X Collection with all 8 X games (not including Command Mission and the GBC games Xtreme 1 and 2).

From the trailer, I can see that it looked much better than Inafune's own knockoff Mighty No.9. Sad, isn't it? Perhaps Cpacom looked at Inafune's mess of a Megaman ripoff, and they waited for the right moment to announce the real Megaman?

I really dig the artist they got for this. It's also pretty cool they brought back the original Ninja Captor helmet idea for powers Akira Kitamura wanted to do back at the start.

The end of the video seems to indicate a new mechanic, too - I'm quite pleased to see it's not going to be a totally gutless remake. And they brought back charge shot and sliding! Yaaaay!

Fun fact. Inafune hardly did anything at all at capcom. He was the team head, but really all the work, designs, story, etc were entirely other people. His only real original design was Zero, and even then someone made him better a game later.

Never forget, Sonic made it all possible.

I wouldn't say Inafune did not do anything at all at Capcom, outside of designs he was a producer on a lot of games like the battle network/Star Force series and both Lost Planet games and Onimusha games. Yeah he had his screwups but so did other people at Capcom. I totally put the blame on him for Mighty Number Nine. But Capcom has still been screwing up long after Inafune left. You can't blame everything on him.

Can and will!  Because he's the piece of shit responsible for the garbage known as Lost Planet 3 and DmC.

He was put in the position of Global Head of Production head of development,  and in turn started handing out all these JP games to shifty western studios. And it was also well known he had a hard on for western devs.

Most Japanese fans as well as developers all hate him, specificly after he started shit talking on record about how Japanese games and developers' have no originality, are all stale, aren't as creative as western games, etc. (Which lead to hI'm giving the rights to western studios.

Kinda fun how if you look at the last 2 decades, it' been the exact opposite.  Inafune probably liked Watchdogs,  Knack, and thought Mighty Number 9 more fundraisers was actually good.

DmC is a ok game not great, its designs were pretty weird, but the gameplay was alright. I do agree he talked out of his ass for a lot of things. He has done a lot of stupid shit with PR and devlopment in general especially in the late 2000s. But I also acknowledge some of the work he's done on a lot of games by Capcom especially as a producer. But in a way he wasn't really wrong about Capcom in that sense... they lost all their creativity by closing down their good studios (clover that became platinum). I'm in no way saying anything about Japanese vs Western developers, but Capcom is pretty damn stale as a developer in general. Konami too. Capcom also gave us that awful game Rockman X-Over and ruined Breath of Fire by making it a FTP BS mobile game.

... I was a Fan of Capcom once but all the Franchises I liked from them are ... well pretty much dead now.
DmC is pretty much gone, Megaman ... we'll see, Breath of Fire ... there is no BoF6 >Sad
Konami lost my atttention when it came out how INCREDIBLE SHITTY they are to their Workforce, also what they did to Metal Gear.

... I miss Suikoden Sad

Oh yeah, Inafune for all the crap he's done, pales in comparison to what Konami has done to both current/former employees and their games in general.

Well... there is a new game coming out called Alliance Alive for the 3DS next year, or rather, its being localized, its a RPG that is written by Murayama, the creator of the Suikoden games. It uses elements and designs from Legend of Legacy, because its by the same developers.
