NJPW Timeline so far:

- Okada is still the champion so far and giving 4+ rate matches since, successfully defending against Minoru Suzuki, Tiger Mask W (Kota Ibushi), Katsuyori Shibata, and most recently Bad Luck Fale. He has personally called out Kenny Omega for a rematch at Dominion.

- Kenny got his redemption win against Tomohiro Ishii at Wrestling Dontaku, after their last one-on-one at the New Japan Cup where Kenny lost to Ishii in the first round. He has accepted Okada's challenge at Dominion, which is a few weeks before the G1 Special in L.A.

- Shibata suffered severe brain damage after landing a shoot headbutt on Okada for their match. He is currently recovering, but his wrestling days may be over.

- Tomoaki Honma also got a serious injury after receiving a botched DDT from Jado during a tour. He is getting better and is looking forward to return to the ring soon.

- The Ticking Time Bomb Hiromu Takahashi is also doing well as the current Jr. Heavyweight ever since winning it at WK 11. He is one of the participants in the now ongoing Best of The Super Juniors.

- ROH's War Machine (Hanson & Raymond Rowe) won the IWGP Tag Titles from TenCozy (Tenzan and Kojima) and successfully defended it from their Triple Threat match against TenCozy and G.O.D. (Tama and Tanga). They will have a rubber match against G.O.D. at Dominion.

- Suzuki has recently won the NEVER Openweight belt against Hirooki Goto during the Road to Wrestling Dontaku tour. The two will fight again at Dominion, this time in a Lumberjack match with Chaos and Suzuki-Gun members.

- Naito is still the IC Champ and has defended it successfully in a match against Juice Robinson (WWE's CJ Parker). Juice has become a fan favorite within the brand. Naito will defend the IC belt again at Dominion in a rematch against Hiroshi Tanahashi.

- The Young Bucks finally returns to New Japan after touring for several months, which includes their fight against the Hardyz at ROH (before the latter moved to WWE). They will be going after the IWGP Jr. Tag belts against RPG Vice at Dominion.

- There are currenty 5 factions in NJPW: Chaos, LIJ, Bullet Club, Suzuki-gun, and Taguchi Japan.

- There is a strong demand for NJPW in America as tickets for the G1 Special was sold out in a very short amount of time, much to the surprise of the company.

- Between the G1 Special and the actual G1 Tournament, members of New Japan will participate in the Japanese World Cup hosted by UK Promotions WCPW (What Culture Pro Wrestling) as well as Revolution Pro Wrestling. This means New Japan currently has formed a partnership with 4 wrestling promotions (ROH, CMLL WCPW, RevPro), essentially forming a 5 brand alliance.

The Shibata thing was so upsetting, he is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time. The terrible thing about it was that it wasn't so much that particular headbutt, but the fact that he was dehydrated and was doing those headbutts.

So in tonight's ROH War of The Worlds, New Japan has officially announced a US Championship Belt for the brand. Already we have Lethal eyeing it for himself, so expect him to be at the G1 Special.

Kairi Hojo from World Wonder Ring Stardom, recently signed up to wrestle in NXT, has been told to no longer use her finshing move, the Flying Elbow Drop, due to it being Bayley's finisher, according to Dave Meltzer.

Which is idiotic... Bayley has only done it a few times, and it wasn't much of a finisher since Alexa kicked out of it during one of the matches it was used.
