Gundam IronBlooded Orphans General

It even makes sense considering that
Spoiler Show
MS in this show where made to fight Mobile Armors who's Main gun is a Beam Weapon, obviously they would be made to have the most resistance to them.
If you think about it the Armor overall is really though, the Caliber they are firing with is huge yet the MS tend to stay mostly intact usually.
They have to get close to maximise the effect ... meaning a Gundam like Barbatos who's Main Weapons are Melee based actually make sense.

Yeah but at the same time Barbados and everything from IBO will get rekt vs phase shift. And in most srws remote weapons don't get counted as beams for some reason.

Plus we don't know yet of it'll hold the same vs a beam saber.

Let's not take things too seriously about IBO vs other Gundam shows... that's a DEEP rabbit hole to jump into... its like comparing Seed and UC... aside from plot things... technology comparisons and strength is a very moot point...
Plus... SRW doesn't really care about it either.... for example, phase shift in SRW only negates part damage... IBO armor would probably work the same way... for beams too. Laminate armor/beam coat in SRW isn't anything new.

I doubt there even is a beam saber, the HG kit for the Hasmel says that beam weapons is only for MAs only. The past history is that militaries used autonomous mobile armors and they got way too strong and killed lots of people, hence mobile suits were built to combat them. Beam weapons are considered useless against mobile suits. Also, the Mobile armors also have the nano-laminate armor, making beam weapons useless against them too.... The beam weapons were put on them in the past just to fight and kill people.

Its probably too early for this fight to happen, plus... gotta save the good stuff for later on. Atleast McGillis now knows that Gaileo is alive. Plus... other important shit is going on... like a massive genocidal MA out for blood. Yeah, I expected them to duke it out too...

IBO just had this terrible habit of ending on a cliffhanger, only for the next episode to air and literally nothing happens.

Also , what the he'll was the point? Goes through all the work to hide his identity, hide Kimaris, etc and just says '"sup"

Probably trying to find the dirt on McGillis before taking him down, McGillis is member of the 7 Stars now, Gaileo would get in a LOT of trouble if he fought against McGillis without proof, even Rustal can't protect him from that. That mercenary asshole on Earth was trying to take out McGillis undercover under orders from Rustal, but Vidar is on assignment to bring back dumbass Iok. Or maybe he had to find Iok after hearing from Julietta cause it was urgent, if not he might've actually fought McGillis.

These kinds of cliffhangers happen in Gundam and other anime quite often... nothing exactly new for IBO... 00 had lots of cliffhangers that get resolved/end early in the following ep...

The problem with IBOs is that nothing gets resolved with The ciffhanger, literally nothing happened but 2 or 3 panning still shots and a few lines.

As to Evidence,  Vidar himself is pretty much all the proof he needs. He probably has enough to prove what McGillis did. But after everything McGillis didn't him, he most likely doesn't care about "justice" but wants revenge/ to make him pay and suffer by screwing up everything McGillis is working for. The ultimate Phantom Pain, starring Punished Vidar Snake.

He most likely fully intended to fight him, since it woud have been conveniant all alone in the middle of nowhere. I doubt he went off on his own his own just to mad dog him. He probably didn't don it due to Julietta''s call, and how he took a few seconds to reply back.

It was probably not so much a duty thing but rather he probably didn't want to betray her, after all the betrayals McGillis pulled.

Fair enough, Vidar does seem to care about Julietta, cause he has been bonding with her... although Iok is probably one of the biggest dumbasses I've seen in all of Gundam... especially given his high ranking position... I think even Garma Zabi is more competent than him...
