Not seeing Satoshi Urushihara in these credits. >:|

RE: Langrisser I & II Remakes - Vincent - 08-22-2018

Nope, he is not in there, Nagi Ryou will be doing this one it seems.

RE: Langrisser I & II Remakes - Shear - 08-22-2018

As expected, I do like Nagi Ryou as an Artist so let's see what he does with it.
A note: Satoshi Urushihara hasn't done much these last years, most people think he is retired by now. He do pops up in the credits from time to time but I haven't seen his trademark artstyle much these days.

I can't really imagine Nagi Ryou doing Fantasy but that might turn out to be interesting and refreshing.
Hope for a quality product.

Actually according to a friend living in Tokyo right now, he's actually still fairly active. It's just that most of his stuff has been H-doujin covers and related stuff, so it's never really seen on a public scale.

They should have used the artist from the mobage, he keeps Urushihara's attention to detail and aesthetics intact.

Hmm... he does have the aesthetics, and yet, not exactly full copying Satoshi. Quite good.

RE: Langrisser I & II Remakes - Shear - 08-23-2018

That's actually after a rework, especially the eyes where different in the beginning. But yeah it's DAMN close, respect Smile
As for Urushihara I knew about the covers and stuff but I haven't seen him as a mainartist for big projects for a while now, I think 2009 was the last time. He hasn't even released any artbooks since then.

The mobage itself was started in china I believe, but it's being made by an an extremely dedicated team of long time fans of the series who really want to preserve the games style and aesthetics intact, hence the attention to detail with the character art. In about 2 weeks it had already made about $10 Million which is really damn good.

Where as with this Nagi is really just using his own style. You can already see not just the character designs themselves but the wardrobes are nothing like the original. I'm personally expecting Sherry to get ruined. >.>

You can search うるしはら on dmm or dlsite. He actually just finished the cover for コミックマショウ's August run and illustrated an entire elf-H book that came out Aug 13.
