Koei Tecmo's Successful Tactics for Profit
Posted by: Andy Chan - 05-02-2016, 12:33 PM - Forum: Game Channel - Replies (6)

So according to this report, Koei Tecmo has achieved yet another record profit for the 6th consecutive year.

Sales Data:
As of September 30th 2015-

 • Arslan: The Warriors of Legend – 60,000 units sold in Japan and Asia
 • Nights of Azure – 150,000 units sold in Japan and Asia
 • Samurai Warriors 4: Empires – 100,000 units sold in Japan and Asia
 • Nobunaga’s Ambition 201X – 600,000 downloads
As of March 31st 2016-
 • Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13 – 180,000 units sold in Japan and Asia
 • Attack on Titan – 280,000 units sold in Japan and Asia
 • Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 – 190,000 units sold in Japan and Asia
 • Atelier Sophie – 170,000 units sold in Japan and Asia
 • La Corda d’Oro 4 – 30,000 units sold in Japan
 • Dead or Alive 5: Core Fighters (F2P) – 6 Million downloads worldwide
 • My GameCity (Gaming Platform) – 870,000 Members and over 35 games

You know, people used to mock Koei Tecmo for chucking out Warriors games every year.
Who's laughing now eh? Their acquisition of GUST also helps a lot.

Their tactics consist of making their main fighter Dead or Alive 5 a free-to-play game, with DLC enabled. This has caused people to actually try their game, and buy their favorite fighters (along with their tons of costumes).
Even Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires has a free-to-play version, although it's very butchered.  And next in line, we have Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 free-to-play, although I'm not sure when will it be available.

And Koei Tecmo is one of the few developers who still support the Vita!

Their newest upcoming title is Ni-Oh, a Dark Souls-esque game. Too bad it doesn't have character creation, instead we get an old guy as the main character. It's truly a missed opportunity, as I've always liked their character creation system be it in Dynasty Warriors Empires or Samurai Warriors. They even used it for Toukiden!

I still have Deception IV: Nightmare Princess on the backlog, just waiting to be played. Currently busy with Samurai Warriors 4 Empires and Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, though.

I hope Koei Tecmo continues their success in the future! Big Grin

P.S. Damn it's very weird to say "Koei Tecmo". I'd prefer to call them "Tecmo Koei". Much more fluid.

  Fanfic: SRW Rising
Posted by: DairuggerXV - 04-23-2016, 01:04 AM - Forum: Creative Arts - Replies (10)

So, found an old fanfic of mine that I did apparently only one chapter of and then abandoned. After rereading it, yeah, probably a good idea I left it alone, I'd be rewriting the first chapter again. But it inspired to make another attempt. Given that I was just doing it by the seat of my pants before, I'm going to take the time to plan this out, and I have some idea of what I'm doing. I figured I'd post some of that planning here if only to see some of the comments I get back from it. I won't show my whole hand, and as with any good crossover, some adaptations and changes are going to be made. In fact, at least one of the included series is here primarily for that reason. So feel free to share any thoughts or comments you may have.

Brief Setting Intro: It is the dawn of the mecha age. For the last 75 years Earth has dealt with catastrophe after catastrophe. Shattering old nations and forming others anew. With the arrival of the Alien Starship 1 so shortly after the Second Impact, and the evidence that some mechanical horde lay beyond Mars, humanity knew that more trouble lay in store for it. Thus it prepared the only way it know how and built up its war might with new technologies. Drawing inspiration from the ancient legend of a giant warrior that had the powers beyond that of a god and fought off invaders single-handedly before, humanity builds its new war machines in their image, finding hope in that maybe they can replicate that ancient legend.

Series and Notes:
New Getter Robo
Easy to justify Magic Knight’s magic “Getter Rays did it” as well as having a bunker buster/boss killer. Not to mention the possibility of Ryoma playing off as being another big brother figure for Hikaru.

Magic Knight Rayearth/Rayearth OVA
I want to see what happens when you put the original characters through the OVA events BETWEEN Rayearth 1 and 2.

Dancouga/Dancouga Nova
I want to create a version where Dancouga and Dancouga Nova are more closely tied together.

I’m a fan of the series, deal with it. Both will be referenced, but only one will show up.

I have a history of doing weird stuff with this, and I have some ideas how to merge the disparate timelines into something that makes a vague amount of sense.

Gundam Seed
I have a thought experiment about how this and the OYW could play-out side-by-side.

MS Gundam/War in the Pocket
Much the reason as the above, plus the addition of certain UC tech and plot points. 08th MS Team will get mentioned, but not used.

The dawn of the PMC, mecha-wise, and some character interactions I really want to try my hand at.

I need to run this to get some catharsis “fixing” certain characters. Not sure if Rebuild or not, but will have a few chapters before that’s a big deal to make adjustments if I don’t go TV.

Here to be one of the major causes of any and all fixfic-ing I do. Plus GGG can act as a morally unambiguous central authority than nearly anything else on the list.

Code Geass
I like it and have some thoughts on character interactions I can’t resist, plus certain aspects will be important for later.

Fun antics and I want to set something up for later if this keeps going beyond the planned end.

Series I wanted to put in, but couldn’t quite fit into the plot as laid out right now or had roles already filled with other things I’m currently more interested in playing with: Gravion, Full Metal Panic, Gunbuster, Gundam 00, Mazinkaiser, Shin Mazinger, Gurren Lagann, a large number of Gundam and Macross series, Vandread, Kotetsushin Jeeg, Iczer, Muv Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse, and Legend of Daikyu Maryuu Gaiking.

  The Tekken Thread
Posted by: Andy Chan - 04-22-2016, 02:09 PM - Forum: Game Channel - Replies (751)

Now that we have a Dead or Alive thread, time to put a Tekken thread as well.

The newest Tekken is Tekken 7 Fated Retribution, which is currently only available to play in Japanese Arcades as location test. I'm not sure if it's still available to play or has the arcades there reverted back to Tekken 7 vanilla. Tekken 7FR features a guest star from Street Fighter series: Akuma/Gouki, where he plays exactly like a Street Fighter IV character.

The other Tekken series is supposed to be Tekken x Street Fighter. But after 6 years of announcement, I truly believe that Namco has canned this game, swept it under the rug, gives vague answers everytime someone asked, and hope it dies quietly.

One Tekken game that has actually seen console release is actually Pokken Tournament aka Pokemon  Tekken. It's exclusive for Wii U (and arcades), featuring variety of Pokemon with two phase of gameplay, one resembling arena combat, the other resembling Tekken. In fact, some of the moves those Pokemon use are ripped off Tekken.

The last Tekken we can play on consoles is Tekken Revolution, and  that game is the closest thing we got to Tekken 7. Too bad it's free-to-play, requiring battle coins (aka stamina system), and has multitude of problems. The problem is mainly from the new breed of players abusing the system, such as:

1. Red moves abusers (aka invincible move)

They are players who only knows one or two moves (red move and grab). They usually stay very still, waiting for the opponent to approach, then do either the grab, or the red move. These players also usually has 200 POW to kill you very quick.
2. Player who walk backwards all the time
This is a breed of players who only walk backwards all the time, and if we approach, they either do one or two move, and go back to walking backwards. They usully never blocks low.
3. Hackers with 99999 power kills you in one hit.

Since Tekken Revolution uses stats to boost your attack power (POW), HP (STA), and Critical Rate (VIG), hackers has found a way to edit those numbers and gives them an unfair advantage. Good idea introducing stats to a fighting game, Harada!
4. Lazuya Revolution Players
Another type of players who uses Kazuya and typically walk backwards, turns into Devil Kazuya, and laser you from afar. If you're close, he will either grab you, or use the red move. I've seen someone with over 10.000 wins plays like this.
5. Law 50/50 Dragon Tail/Dragon Arrow (red move) abuser
Law is basically the most used character in Tekken Revolution, thanks to his 50/50 mechanics. He has a fast Dragon Tail that hits low, and he has the best Red Move in the game because he jumps backward first before throwing out that Dragon Arrow. So really, it's 50/50 whether you need to block low or mid. It's not Tekken Revolution if you didn't meet this kind of player.

While it's free-to-play and I actually have fun playing with friends, I don't recommend Tekken Revolution at all. If you learned Tekken via Tekken Revolution, you're going to think that Red Moves are staple of Tekken, and you're going to be isolated in this game. Try to move to other Tekken will get you destroyed. Therefore, most people actually goes back to play Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

However, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 itself has a bunch of problems, mainly it's not newbie friendly. One little mistake in that game will cost you the match. Most good players will not let you get up from the ground, and you will spend most of your time getting juggled by the opponent. Most newbies I know ragequitted out from that game.
Let's face it, it's hard to memorize the common moves of over 50 characters, which is required if you want to have a competitive edge. The tag mechanics also means you have to learn at least two characters. Well, you could go solo, but you'll have some disadvantages.

Seeing that Tekken 7 Fated Retribution will release sometime in Fall for arcades, I doubt it will be released in consoles anytime soon. Maybe in 2020. Therefore, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is still the best Tekken for last gen consoles that's available to play.

Here's Lili & Kunimitsu Ranked Matches in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 showcase. Big Grin

  Super Robot Wars HOPE.
Posted by: thebigb - 04-13-2016, 02:46 PM - Forum: Creative Arts - Replies (14)

Super Robot Wars HOPE
This is a Super Robot Wars Game, made in RPG Maker MV.
Feel free to discuss what you would like in the game and any crossover elements that I can steal.
Part 1 the first 25+ stages are done and I’m working on making the 1st 13 stages really pretty. When the 13 stages are done I’ll release something for you all to play.
If you want a certain series in the game, it won’t be getting in. I just don’t want to make any changes to series list. However fell free make suggestions.

Facebook Page:

About the plot: After an apocalypse (The One Year War) 12,000 years ago, humans are extinct and the Earth is left to rot. Mankind lives as data in the digital world, with armies of machine's sent out to destroy the very same world while armies of monsters do the same from the inside. One day everything gets worse, much, much worse. HOPE is all humanity has left and it’s fading, quickly.

“Dear, whoever has found this letter?

It feel’s weird to be awake, I’ve been sleeping for 12,000 and this world, it’s different.

12,000 years ago The One Year War (UC 0079) ended and it was not the outcome both the Federation and Zeon desired. The end result of the war was the extinction of the human race.

The reason wasn’t the alien races of Campbellian’s or Anti-Spiral’s or the Demons that appeared for unknown reasons nor was it the war with the soldier’s and armies of the Federation and Zeon fighting for what was right. But rather humanity own foolishness. Casting their humanity and own life aside. Civilian’s entered the Digital world, believing it was the only place for peace. There they will live forever in an endless yearly cycle provided by the Quantum Servers of the year 1985.

That was once a choice the people made, now it’s a requirement, the world is a barren wasteland, rotting away each day. However despite this some human’s still wish to live on the planet Earth, a the META-Body was created. It was provided for those with money and for the military, giving people a way to step foot on the Real World. However, it called a cruise as you are not able to touch, or eat. The Federation had left the planet for space in the colonies, as they live forever in META-Bodies. Neither alive nor dead.

The forces of Zeon stayed on the Earth. There a Civil War brew, one side the Nexrum and the other Neon-Celebram, both sides just wanting to kill each other, after 12,000 year’s not an end is in sight.

And then out of nowhere in the Digital Server’s an army of Monster’s and Beastmen. The Bagra Army began Talking over the Server’s by obtaining its code crown, they forced humans to live underground. The Quantum Servers quickly went from 1985 to a monster world.

Humanity is gone, but as long as they have a chance to live again HOPE is what people search for, HOPE is what will bring the world together, but FATE is cruel and it won’t allow peace to happen.

If I could go back in time, and stop the past. That would be ideal. But I can’t instead. I’ll make sure FATE doesn’t win. I’ll stop the future.

Rex Nightwatch. ”

Series List
I have changed this list many times. It’s hard not to change. Hopefully, you find this a fun and interesting. I have one series from the old trilogy of robot’s (Getter, Mazinger, and Gundam). One series from the 70’s and avoid having any series with units only, keeping the series list fewer than 10 works (I really tired). The hardest part and must fun was making this list was figuring out how certain series can work together, if a series couldn’t have some crossover plot point with every other series then it’s not in the game.  There were many series which I wanted to add in but had to force myself to take them out. Anyway, hopefully, this list put’s a smile on your face.

Note: Can only do 10 images, they are more important shows.
Note2: This list is incomplete, in order not to put your hopes up.
Note3: The Main Character must be in a playable unit from its show in order to be on the list.

1. Combattler V (1976-1997)
Summary: “Thousands of years ago, the people of the planet Campbell decided to leave their planet and seek out new worlds to inhabit. One group, led by the scientist Oreana, landed on Earth, but was delayed from their mission. In the early 21st century, Oreana's group reawakens and begins their plan to conquer the Earth. The only effective defense against the Campbellians' giant bio-mechanical slave beasts is the super-electromagnetic robot, Combattler V and its pilots.”

Notes: “This game need's a show from the 70's. Combattler V has been in about 10 game’s but it has never done the Slave Monster's plot (Part 1 of the series). Therefore, Combattler V's appearance, this time, will be something that has never being done before. The Campbellians won't be taking a back seat, Oreana hate’s everyone and she won’t stop until the Earth and its Code crowns are conquered.”

2. Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Big Battle (1986)

Summary:“With the Gilgamesh and Balarant forces still trying to advance their PS programs, Chirico, and his old friends are forced into one last gladiatorial battle against a special PS and a formidable land battleship.”

Notes: “I'm doing Big Battle, and that's it. Chirico is just a supporting character for a certain series. VOTOMS events leading up to big Battle did happen in the past during the One Year War. This was going to be unit’s only, however Big Battle provides nice crossover elements, and gives Chirico a reason to be in this game.”

3. Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counterattack (1988)

Summary: “U.C. 0093 - Char Aznable, the infamous "Red Comet" of the One Year War, has come out of hiding to lead the Neo-Zeon Army and wage war against the Earth Federation. Only his greatest rival, Gundam pilot Amuro Ray, can stop him from dropping the Axis asteroid on Earth and causing a major global catastrophe.”

Notes: “Gundam one of the old robot trilogy, Char’s Counterattack is my favorite UC Gundam series, this may or may be  because it’s the first thing related to UC Gundam that I watched. Char's Counterattack has been done loads of  time in SRW, each one bringing something different expect if it's just Amuro in the Nu Gundam. I’m glad to say you will be getting the plot and not just the Nu-Gundam.
I will be doing by my own version of Char's Counterattack, just like in SRW Z3 and D. The One Year War, is a massive part of Earth's history and the event's of Mobile Suit Gundam occurred, however, the war happened 12,000 years ago the event's of Zeta, ZZ and anything past UC 0079 didn't occur and thus will be the first SRW game with CC and no Zeta or ZZ.
Char's reason's for dropping a rock, are different as he won't be putting the Earth to rest but instead destroying it. He will be more of an Anti-Villain. Char the leader of Celebram-Zeon has a plan and will be doing his best to get the best result. Amuro will be there to stop him”

4. Mazinger Movie Series
Summary: Stories from the Mazinger Z series.
Notes: This Story needs Mazinger Z.

5. ZegaPain (2006) + ZegaPain ADP (2016)
Summary: “Kyo, an avid swimmer tries his best to keep the high school swimming club going, which is pretty hard when he's the only member. Facing the prospect of the club being closed by the student council, he tries to enlist beautiful Misaki to act in a promo video, shot by his good friend Ryoko, in a bid to start a recruitment drive. She agrees but only if he pilots a mecha under the wing of Celebrum, a resistance organization fighting to destroy Deutera Areas formed on Earth by the aliens Gards-orm. He agrees but finds it all strangely familiar as if he's done it before.”
Notes: "This show is the Orguss of Z. This game will be complete different without this show. It’s debut in X-Omega was the worst debut ever.  Everything revolves around the Gards-orm. As for the plot this show becomes more like the Matrix. I'm adding in the Elements from  the Movie."
6. Gurren Lagann  + Rasen Shounentan (2007)
Summary (Anime): “Simon and Kamina were born and raised in a deep, underground village, hidden from the fabled surface. Kamina is a free-spirited loose cannon bent on making a name for himself, while Simon is a timid young boy with no real aspirations. One day while excavating the earth, Simon stumbles upon a mysterious object that turns out to be the ignition key to an ancient artifact of war, which the duo dubs Lagann. Using their new weapon, Simon and Kamina fend off a surprise attack from the surface with the help of Yoko Littner, a hot-blooded redhead wielding a massive gun who wanders the world above.
In the aftermath of the battle, the sky is now in plain view, prompting Simon and Kamina to set off on a journey alongside Yoko to explore the wastelands of the surface. Soon, they join the fight against the "Beastmen," humanoid creatures that terrorize the remnants of humanity in powerful robots called "Gunmen." Although they face some challenges and setbacks, the trio bravely fights these new enemies alongside other survivors to reclaim the surface, while slowly unraveling a galaxy-sized mystery.”

Summary (Rasen Shounentan): “In a land where a barrier surrounds them, that land is the only "world" known to them. One day when a piece of the barrier breaks, Simon witnesses something no one else has ever seen. A starry sky with an unfamiliar light. When he tries to explain what he saw, no one believes him. When he gives up trying to convince everyone what he saw was true, he comes across a girl coming out of a Mecha head. Where did this girl come from and what does she want with Simon?”

Notes: “I love this show. I will be using the short Gurren Laggan manga Rasen Shounentan. If you haven’t read it, don’t worry. I’ll be focusing on the anime story, the manga will be crossover with the anime. What this means for the plot is that Nia and Kamina will get to know each other, the Laggan get’s a new attack and Rasen Shounentan help’s bring crossover elements that Gurren Laggan couldn’t. ”

Hopefully, we see these series in an official SRW’s game, A Total 5 to 10 new series depending on how you count.

7. M.D Geist (1986) *NEW
[Image: vDOGKwS.png]

Summary: “The Regular Army of the planet Jerra has been locked in a bloody civil war with the rebellious Nexrum Army, who believe that Earth should not be involved in governing its extraterrestrial colonies. The war has left most of the planet's infrastructure in rubble and has killed countless numbers of people. In response to the Nexrum's more advanced weapons, the Jerran Army developed the Most Dangerous Soldiers, which turned out to work too well; the MDS units attacked everyone, including their allies. One such soldier, MD-02 "Geist", was ordered placed in suspended animation aboard a stasis satellite and launched into Jerra's orbit.”
Notes: “I needed a Real Robot show, and this one fit’s very nicely in, just change a few character names around and that’s it. I won’t be changing the ending. Yes, that ending will not be changed. I won’t be changing Geist character either. It’s ending and Geist character is why I don’t think it’s being in SRW before, that and it’s a powered armour and not a robot. ”

8. Zoids Fuzors (2006) *NEW
[Image: lKLUzuZ.png]

Summary: “R.D. is a delivery boy who works for a company called Mach Storm in order to earn money to search for the legendary Alpha Zoid. A Zoid that he heard rumors about from his dad that he passionately believes in. Mach Storm also doubles as a Zoid Battling team. In R.D.'s first Coliseum Zoid Battle, he encounters a team that can fuse Zoids. R.D. soon discovers that he has a Zoid that can computably fuse with his Zoid, Liger Zero. After this happens R.D.'s adventure to discover the truth about the Alpha Zoid begins.”
Notes: “Zoid’s my favorite mecha franchise. While Zoid’s is not new to SRW it was in OE and K. Fuzor’s and the Liger Zero are. Fuzor’s is my least favorite Zoid’s series. Why Fuzro’s and not something else, because this one fit’s in really easily and the childhood me wanted me to put in Zoid’s. Since R.D has a Liger Zero, zoids from NCZ are in the game. No character's just zoid’s with the BGM. And yes that image is from NCZ. Zoids Fuzor’s will get in SRW one day.”

9. Mazinger Angles (2004)
Summary:  “Robot Angles Aphrodite A, Diana A,  Venus A,  Minerva X stop Dr. Hell”
Notes: “
How many games has Sayaka being in… pretty much every single one. And she ever gotten some spotlight. NO!!  I think it’s time for her to have a more powerful unit than Kouji and some main character perk’s. Yes, I’ll be treating her as a Main character with just as much lines as Kouji. Speaking of Mazinger Z, will be the one supporting Aphrodite A, and not the other way around. I’m using music from. As for it’s plot, I’ll do the important chapter’s, there won’t be much. I have no idea why this isn’t in a SRW’s yet. Mazinger Angles Z story will happen after Angel’s, character’s will appear early. As this is a manga Music will be taken from various Mazinger anime.
10. Digimon Xros Wars + Digimon Digital Monster’s (2010-2011)

Summary: “Taiki Kudou, an upbeat seventh-grade boy who always helps people in need, encounters a Digimon named Shoutmon, who brings him and his friends to the Digital World. With his friends Akari Hinomoto and Zenjirou Tsurugi, they form Team Xros Heart to compete against rival teams battling for supremacy, with their ultimate goal of taking down the evil Bagura Empire, who plans to conquer the Digital World.”
Notes: “Yes, Digimon. Is it a mecha anime, well….. Nnn…. This is Xros Wars.
One, this show does this show does the crossover nicely. Two, it gives mecha vibes
Three, Shoutmon X? is a mecha. Four, Shoutmon is a certain mecha character. Five, It has Super Robot music. Six, It has Super Robo Combination sequences. Seven, this game fit’s in better than that WTF how, so just consider it a WTF series. Eight how is Xros Wars this not a mecha show?

The childhood me wanted me to include this show. Mecha Digimon not in Xros Wars are in the game because why not? I would die of excitement if Digimon gets’ in the next SRW. I don’t think it’s impossible for it to get in.”

11. My Character’s

There will be Four Protagonist during this story.
Rex Nightwatch - Real Robot: The Dynamite
Lance Cordfield - Real Robot: The Reborn
Lucy Roadrider - Super Robot: The Butterfly
Blit – Super Robot: The Serpent
And there will be bad guys making total of about 10 character’s. Hopefully you like them

EDIT: Add in Notes section and Zegapain ADP. It will be the first 13 stage's and not 25.

  The anime in SRW games
Posted by: kern - 04-07-2016, 03:49 AM - Forum: Tokyo Jupiter - Replies (17)

Quite a while ago I made a spreadsheet partially to test the supposed "3 year rule" (the idea that an anime had to be out for 3 years before it could be included in SRW), but also to see how many total series and episodes there are.

While the basketball championships were going on I updated the spreadsheet. I'm sure I made some mistakes somewhere so this is all approximate, but these are some interesting things I found.

There are around 150-170 titles included in SRW games, depending on how you count OVAs, manga, etc. There are over 4500 episodes. You would have to watch 3 episodes a day for 4 years to do it all.

The longest gap between the end of an anime and its appearance in SRW is Albegas -- over 32 years between the anime ending and its appearance in Cross Omega (Dorvack is also 32 years).

Around 40 anime have appeared in SRW less than 3 years after they ended. The shortest is still Gundam F91, which appeared in the original SRW less than a month after the movie aired. Of course, there's no F91 story there.

The longest anime to appear in SRW is Keroro Gunsou (357 episodes), followed by Mazinger Z (92).

  Dynasty Warriors Eiketsuden

aka Dynasty Warriors Heroic Legends
[Image: k9d535N.jpg]

Announced for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

From Koei Warriors:

The game is titled 'Shin Sangokumusou: Eiketsuden' or ' 真・三國無双 英傑伝'. The game is a turn based strategy role playing game that is a spin off of the mainline Dynasty Warriors series. The game is being developed by Omega Force and is currently 70% complete. The game is due to launch in 2016 on PS4, PS3 & PSV.

Not much is known about the game right now but it seems to be based on Zhao Yun storyline as he is the main character. The game is based on a grid system (think ROTK) but seems to have a storyline and even gameplay similar to a cross between Dynasty Warriors Tactics and Kessen. Even similar to Fire Emblem style gameplay.

Zhao Yun (voiced by Masaya Onosaka) – The protagonist. He shows remarkable activity and is awarded a special power from 黎霞.
Lei Bin (voiced by Makoto Furukawa) – A scholarly young man who is Zhao Yun’s childhood friend.
Li Xia (voiced by Minami Tsuda) – A mysterious girl sealed away within a shrine.

Some Details

Main character is Zhao Yun. He has a close friend named 雷斌 Lei Bin (VA Furukawa Makoto) who looks more like a scholar. Story follows this path.

So one day Zhao Yun & Lei Bin were exploring a cave when they found a girl named 黎霞 Li Xia (VA Tsuda Minami) sleeping in ice cage... (New Characters)

Li Xia is a character who doesn’t know anything and came from another world, while Lei Bin is there to explain things and provide commentary.

Since this is a series with many popular woman characters, we had a difficult time with her design.

Other DW charas confirmed:
Cao Cao, Xiahou Dun, Jia Xu, Sun Jian, Zhang Fei, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Lu Bu, DiaoChan, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao.

Since Zhao Yun is the protagonist, it will focus on Shu Han military commanders, and military commanders who have yet to appear will also make their debut.

Because it’s a Dynasty Warriors game, it would be nice if we could include Jin Dynasty military commanders, but putting everyone is difficult.

There will be special conversation events and friendship-becomings among the game’s appearing military commanders.

The system is an orthodox strategy RPG, there’s a world map you travel on, battles and free battles, and is assumingly turn-based.

Facing characters in certain directions and zone of control will be in the game.

Weapons will have a range of perspective, actions use a cost system, and EX Attacks can also be acquired.

Characters will grow according to a skill system.

As Omega Force’s first strategy RPG, we’re taking on various challenges.

Is grid-based TBS game, but 1 general unit comprises of 1 man (the general) while 1 peon unit consists of hundreds/thousands of peons.

I'm sad that this isn't Dynasty Tactics 3.
Also sad that this stars Zhao Yun, as I'm more pro Wu. Tongue
But depending on how the game goes, it seems really interesting. I love grid based SimRPG like SRW.
I just hope its not fully Zhao Yun centric.

Edit: Screenies!

Okay, that totally looked like Dynasty Tactics.

  Macross Delta

First episode aired last Sunday

It was good, I wasn't too keen on the idea of multiple Idol girls but this is Macross and it's always had it fair share of Idols.
While the episode starts off a bit slow, it's pretty much the same as the preview except that they added a whole lot of mecha fights
There is a fantastic scene where the VF dances and kicks ass while Ikenai Borderline plays, That moment was pretty hype
So far the show is off a good start I think I will enjoy it, the music is good and I ain't even a fan of this type of music.

I've had Ikenai Border on repeat since sunday
